Rifle Course
There are a number of different types of rifle sporting events. You may sit in a bench-rest position, lay or sit on the ground, kneel, or stand. Some of these events include ranges up to 200 yards or more. Targets may include metallic silhouette targets. Others are paper. Or you may enjoy plinking at tin cans on a Sunday afternoon. And, of course, there's hunting.
Cowboy shoots are now available at many clubs. These competitions require that you dress up in addition to actually shooting.
Rifle calibers range from .17 to .50 and beyond.
